CORTO MOLTEDO X LUCY FOLK

CORTO MOLTEDO X LUCY FOLK

Corto collaborated with Lucy Folk on a limited edition version of his infamous shopper tote.   Having bonded over a mutual love of incessant travel, working with artisan-crafted materials, and a passion for creating products of superior quality that reflect a unique take on art and design, Folk and Corto Moltedo’s blending of aesthetics is the perfect match.

Goldsmith by trade, international in taste and delicious by nature, Founder and Creative Director Lucy Folk has made a name for herself with signature interpretations of her favourite things, all lead by living an endless summer. Allowing her imagination to go boldly against the grain, handmade jewels, Italian made eyewear, lust worthy accessories and resort inspired apparel create a subtle sense of luxury with timeless wearability.

The collaboration pairs Corto Moltedo’s iconic shopper tote shape and insignia yardage print, framed in a burnt orange 100% goatskin trim, with Folk’s iconic PLAYA logo digitally printed on to the bag along with a stripe pattern that is an important theme for both brands. This versatile, elegant, handmade in Florence tote bag, is ideal for travelling the world in style.

Founder and Creative Director, Lucy Folk commented: “It’s incredibly exciting to finally launch this wonderful collaborative piece in store. Working with Gabriele was inspiring - his techniques and knowledge on Italian leather is next to none. We were able to share our common love for structural shapes, styles and authenticity whilst combining and adding our own colourful signature stamp, and creative quirks.”

Gabriele Corto Moltedo added, “It was amazing to work on this limited-edition project with an Australian who is now a local Parisian who shares the same appreciation for top quality, ethical and handmade pieces. A shared love for colour and pattern was also identified early on. Adding a reference to Lucy’s home in the creation was the perfect finishing touch.”
